Kroger Cards

Kroger_gift_card Kroger Cares Gift Card Program for SHHS Band Student’s Account

This is an incredible opportunity to earn hundreds of dollars.

 1.  Buy a Kroger Gift Card from Mr. Jack. The cost is $5. It comes with $5 already “loaded” on it.

 2.  Each card you purchase is assigned a different number and will be assigned to your student’s account.

 3.  If you want to recharge your card and use it for your purchase, you have to pay for the recharge first, then make your purchase. This has to be done in two transactions. Always keep at least a dollar on your card. A card with a zero balance for a period of 90 days will be taken out of the system. A new card will have to be purchased from the organization.

If a gift card cannot be recharged, a new card has to be purchased from the organization. Occasionally a card is demagnetized and cannot be recharged. Things that demagnetize gift cards: magnetic latch on purse or wallet, eel skin wallet or purse, money clip, cell phone, anything with a speaker. Usually recharge problems are due to human error. Have the cashier manually enter the card number and get it to a zero balance until all money is used. Throw that card away and get a new card from the organization. A card purchased in a store CANNOT be linked to your organization. The contact person for the organization should call gift services with any problems with gift cards.

Read the back of the gift card for additional information.

4. Every time you re-charge (“reload”) your card, 4% of the amount you “load” onto the card goes directly to your student’s account.

5.  Kroger gift cards are accepted at all Kroger stores throughout the U.S.  Your gift card can be used for anything, including fuel and prescriptions, in Kroger stores with the exception of services. Services include: Money Orders, Western Union, Lottery Tickets, Hunting/Fishing License and Ticket Master. You cannot buy Kroger gift cards with a gift card.

6.  Anyone can use your gift card.  You can even buy extra cards for your friends and family to multiply your efforts.  Your name does not appear on the card.  You may use it for yourself or give it to anyone you choose.

7.  Expiration of Kroger Gift Cards.  Kroger cards do not expire as long as value (or a dollar amount) remains on the card; however, if a card has a zero balance for longer than ninety (90) days, the card will become inactive and value can no longer be loaded onto the card.

 8. Balance on Kroger Gift Card.  To obtain a remaining card balance, please visit www.gcbalance.com or call 1-866-822-6252 or check your sales receipt.

 9.  Lost or Stolen Kroger Cards.  If your card is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, it will not be replaced and the remaining value lost. If card is used without your permission, you will not be reimbursed for such loss.

 10.  Student AccountsEach member of the marching band will have a student account.  This is where all fees, charges, payments and fund raising collections will be posted (unless noted otherwise).  Check with Mr. Jack at any time to see your student’s balance.  As funds are earned in the student account – those funds can be designated throughout the year for band fees, shoes, band trips, etc.

Transfers of funds to other organizations. Under no circumstances may funds from a student activity account be transferred to another booster club or to any other organization – profit or non-profit – even if that organization is sponsored by Spring Hill High School.

Transfer of funds between student activity accounts.  Transfer of funds between student activity accounts of non-related band members is not permitted. If a student leaves the band because of graduation, transfer, or for any other reason, the balance remaining in the student activity account will be transferred to the general fund. One exception to this policy may be considered by the board: the parent or guardian of the departing student may request that the balance in the student's account be transferred to a sibling or other family member who lives in the same household. The transfer may be made for a current band member, or for a family member who is expected to participate in the band program at a future date. The family must specify the date on which the future student will enroll in the Spring Hill High School band program. The specified date must be within one (1) year of the date on which the request is made. If the student has not enrolled in the band program by the specified date, the excess funds will be released to the general fund.

11.  Terms and Conditions of Kroger Gift Cards.  Use of the card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Kroger Gift Card.
