We are going to have to change the date for beginning band night from July 23rd to July 30th. The music company I am going to use for rentals was unavailable for the 23rd. This will also give us some time to make sure that the registration process is complete and accurate.
The event will begin at 5:30 on the 30th. All band students are to attend. The night will begin with a short concert that will be followed by a potluck dinner. During dinner all first year band students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade, will visit different instrument booths to discover the instrument they will be playing for the upcoming year. There will be information for purchasing and renting instruments. 5th graders will not need to choose an instrument, but I would like them to come be a part of the concert and dinner.
